Academic Foundation Programme (AFP)
We are actively seeking to expand the number of academic foundation posts available in psychiatry and the neurosciences.
Academic Clinical Fellowship (ACF)
These provide rotational posts for 3 years and can be started at any level between CT1 - ST4, and we aim to appoint to 5 of these posts pa.
ACF Trainees are expected to undertake a clinical training and are also provided with 25% of time dedicated for research.
Academic Clinical Lecturers (ACL)
These posts are available to trainees post membership and allow 50% of time to be dedicated to research, and we aim to appoint to 5 of these posts pa.
ACL Trainees are expected to have already undertaken a major research project before entry to the program and to either have or be about to be awarded a PhD.
BRC Preparatory fellowship
This is awarded to a current trainee following a competitive process and enables the trainee to spend 1 year in full time preparatory research to support an application for an externally funded training fellowship.
